David Braxton
Senior Pastor
Pastor Braxton has been senior pastor of Glad Tidings since December 1, 2002. He and his wife Sherri have four boys, Tripp, Jonathan, Timothy, and Joseph. Before coming to Glad Tidings he spent six and a half years as senior pastor of First Assembly of God in Thomson, GA. He is a graduate of Columbia Bible College & Seminary in Columbia, SC and has been a credentialed minister with the Assemblies of God since 1993. His greatest passion is to preach the word of God in a way that connects with the hearer and challenges the heart of all.

Pastor Johnny has been serving here at Glad Tidings as Youth Pastor since January, 2009. He also serves as the Administrative Pastor for the church. Pastor Johnny, his wife Julia and their children, Brad and Cali have lived in Toccoa since 2006. Before moving to Toccoa, they lived in Jackson, Georgia where Pastor Johnny served as Director of Leadership Development. He is from South Atlanta and attended Clayton State University; He has worked in management and administration for the past 19 years. His passion for the church and for the growth of the church is evident in his service to the Glad Tidings and our youth.

Lisa Thomas has been the Bookkeeper/administrator for the last 7 years at Glad Tidings. She has recently in the last year and a half taken on the role of office manager as well. Lisa and her husband Jim have 3 children, Shelley, Joshua and Kylie. They have been members for over 13 years. Lisa attended Truett McConnell College and studied Business Administration and has worked in the business/accounting field for at least 17 years. Lisa has served in many areas in the church from missionettes to pianist to a position she currently works in as choir director. She enjoys working at Glad Tidings and loves the people of this church.

Bradley Collins has been the Children’s Pastor of Glad Tidings for the past three years and the Maintenance Director for six years. He and his wife Elizabeth have two children, Breanna and Nathan. They have been active and faithful members of Glad Tidings since 1992. He has a degree in Masonry and Tile from North Georgia Technical Institute, Home Inspections from PCDI of Atlanta, and he is currently working on his credentials with the Assemblies of God. He felt God calling him into children’s ministry in 1999 with a burning desire to see children thrive in the Kingdom of God. His passion is for girls and boys to realize they were created for a purpose; that they have hope in Jesus Christ; and to disciple them into a full personal relationship with Christ. He believes in giving the children God’s word on a level that they can grasp, remember, and live. He also encourages children to be servants of the Lord and to be true examples of Christ to others. As you would expect of a Children’s Pastor, he likes to have fun with the children.
